Thanks all, for the responses to my query regarding updating.
Right now all my hardware is working fine. Webcam, wireless, usb ports, ethernet, display. I have an ubuntu cd with me but being illiterate has its problems.
How will my hardware work with the new distro? Will I have to do command line stuff or is Ubuntu GUI based?
Will also check the refs suggested.
