+1. In most social sites, there is an option to bypass the feature "invite others from your Yahoo!|Google|Hotmail|Rediff address books" when then they sign up they ought to read the signup page with care.
on condition that they join with a new id - the tainted id should be banned forever - who knows when it would be re-used or sold ...
