I got a new AMD 64bit Laptop. And eager to install a 64bit Linux and the test the power. Any Idea which one to try. Any one laid hands on it ?
Wow! I have been contemplating buying one :) What make and model is it? What was the damage to your bank balance?
Debian, Fedora, SuSE, Mandrake, CentOS (RHEL clone) are a few that have AMD64 editions.
I would suggest that you try the AMD64 edition of whichever 32 bit distro you are using now. I have been using SuSE 9.2/AMD64 for the past year and I am quite happy with it.
