ANYONE OUT there wanting a good project to support and be part of?
GRAMPS is being called one of the best (I don't know how far this is true) genealogy programmes in GNU/Linux. It's said to fill a long-felt gap, by Free/Libre and Open Source Software enthusiasts wanting to do their genealogy work without proprietory software.
It has good documentation written up too.
But there are a lot of tasks waiting to be done. If you would like to offer your help, for instance, check out: http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=766130&forum_id=80993
For a brief introduction: "GRAMPS is a GNOME genealogy program for Linux and FreeBSD that allows you to easily build and keep track of your family tree."
This project is at: http://gramps.sourceforge.net/
Thanks and good luck to anyone who might want to get involved!
