Hi everyone,
I'm running Ubuntu 5.04 on my machine. When I poweroff the machine from a terminal or by pressing the "power" button, the root partition doesn't unmount cleanly and it checks the drive for errors on restarting. This *dosen't* happen when I poweroff from GDM or from Xfce. Can anyone help me with this? I use the commands like "sleep <time> && poweroff" very often, so it gets annoying when fsck runs on startup. (the filesystem is ext2). Also, /home is another (ext2) partition, but there are no problems unmounting /home.
Thanks, -Akshay
