Hi, I'm back with some more A big thank you to Dinesh here. My wish to own an AMD machine has come true. (AMD Semp 2500+ with ASUS K8S-MX). Now 2 Linux distros have failed to install .. FC4 which came with this month's Chip DVD just keeps rebooting. I see the second line Reading initrd.... and kaboom
Regarding you installation problem with FC4, try the following...
When booted off the first CD, type 'fubar' and enter. It will give you This has been known to work.
This HAS worked. Will 'fubar' also work for problematic peripherals :)) ? Installation has begun.. Thank you! Gishu
