Hi Rico,
Here's the latest on a small effort at Amchi Mumbai:
1 School boy has a newly installed Knoppix (Debian) Box. His machine proudly
displays an "ILUG-Goa" sticker !
30 more schoolchildren lined up to slowly start the transition to Debian.
They're all hoping to get a more comprehensive GNU/Linux 7 CD set at a later
date.
So far, they're all new to the concept of GNU/Linux and won't be at my
throats for a full 7 CD set, but they've already started showing signs of
restlessness and would like to see what this "fully loaded" set looks like
:)
Naturally, for schoolchildren, I re-interpreted "free" as "free icecream" in
-addition to "freedom".
Also, missing is an intro session for this lot... they need to be given a
crash course to get them weaned away from Windoz.
Would anyone like to join in on the fun?
Regards
Animesh
