I have been using the 2130 (Java-powered, moonlight phone) since July last year. It supports the full range of R-World services, as well as RConnect. Even the firmware is as I got it from RIM (didn't upgrade it).
One more thing, vendors such as RIM, sometimes "omit" to mention features of handsets, to influence your purchase decision in favour of other handsets. Better ask users to for factual information: http://www.rimweb.com/forums
The official (forever in "beta") RConnect connection software from the official RIM web site turned out to be a dud (didn't work), since it didn't even detect the serial phone connected on the USB port.
BTW if you have a 5130, the procedure is the same as the RConnect procedure I've put up for 2130.
