From: linman ferns linmainwala@yahoo.com i am attempting a dual boot. i have a 80 gb hard drive. 45 gb is formated for win 98 and the rest is kept unformated. is there anything that i should be aware of. people who have tried this ealier kindly tell me what i should take care off. thanks a lot
hi linman ferns , yes do backup your data :) but the rest depends on personal taste actually. if you are paranoid about data on win98 (my best idea.. dont use it) but if you must then create a 'ntfs' partition (secure , but if there is a virus attack and ur windblows OS does not boot you will not be able to access any data on that partition.... Here Linux will come to your rescue :) AFAIK, FC1 does not support ntfs and u will have to download that. *always* Use a stable version of any Linux distro. If its the first time you are attempting dual boot it will save you a lot of headaches. my $.02,-- svaksh
