Hello All,
I was checking out DSDT and ACPI on the net and found that many BIOS manufacturers are giving incomplete ACPI tables for on-board hardware. http://acpi.sourceforge.net/dsdt/index.php
ACPI was meant to make hardware compatible with different OSes through a common interface. So if the tables are broken and yet everything works fine in M$ then is it because M$ gets the other incomplete half to make it fully complete? Something other distros will not get? Is that how things work and we get compatibility problems in Linux?
Regards,
Rony.
