It might be the case if printer is install on linux system you never know?
Using the same logic,
"Linux runs on "my" PC too. So let's discuss me."

question is just about a printer in general and nothing about the question is specific to Linux. Hence, this question is out of place on this list.
I completely agree with this, however I would like to see a lot less careless language on the list in initial replies to such mails. Stern yet constructive replies should be given to make such points clear to the offending person. General and careless replies should be kept to a minimum. I have already seen two in last 6 hrs. By being precise and firm in our replies to such mail, I think we will be clarifying the spirit of free and *civilized* online discussions to others who come later.
For newbies,
*** PLEASE READ THE LIST ETIQUETTES BEFORE YOU START POSTING ***
If you can not find your answers by doing following three things, then post on the *relevant* list.
1. man -k <thing you wish to search for, e.g. apache> 2. info <command> 3. Go to www.google.com and search.
Tip: when reading man pages / other text documents, pressing '/' and typing a keyword after that locates relevant stanzas quickly.
And when you post, you should indicate that a relevant background research was done before posting here. This is what will increase your knowledge of the system, not careless postings.
Best regards,
Rajesh
