Now in redhat 8.0 and rh linux 7.1 the sound card [2] is detected properly.
but on mandrake i can not enjoy music :-( it detects 2 sound card but by default it selectes Onboard Sound card of Via that is sound card [1]
read the documentation in /usr/src/linux/Documentation/sound/Introduction, especially the section on multiple sound cards, and any other documents in that directory that refer to your card.
