Well, you're right if it's a list 'rule'. Sadly it's list 'etiquette' he's
not following. If you're allowed to be rude and nitpick on a mailing list, surely top posting using a mobile phone is a forgivable offense.
This reminds me of an incident that was narrated by a Professor to our class. He said, a student once asked him that if there is a sign "We request you not to smoke", does it mean that it is only a request and one need not actually follow it. ;-)
