Couldn't use the net on my RHL 8 coz the modem doesn't seem to be supported. But the driver disk for the modem has a dir called Linux 6.1 full of .c files. Read me doesn't work.
What make?
Anyways was wondering would it be possible to use the NGage QD as a modem with GPRS and connect ? Has anyone tried this ? Would it be better or worse than Dial UP
In case of orange definetly worse. Is it a serial or usb device. If serial use minicom to connect to the modem. Type <at> cr at the prompt. If it responds ok your modem is a real modem and will work with gnu/linux. No drivers are required. If usb u will have to use the usb and usb modem drivers and repeat the above.
