Hi Sherlock, You seem to be confident that these two cables are same stuff with different names but I still cant believe it untill n unless I see it myself, I still believe that with FBUS / MBUS cable we can jus partially flash the cell not fully!
if u can flash one byte u can flash the whole device. These devices are segmented into sectors. One sector (in some devices) is known as the boot block and requires special instructions to permit reprogramming. The idea is that u should be able to recover from a failed reprogram. There are write protection registers too that determine which blocks can be reprogrammed. And yes i am absolutely sure that those cables are pieces of wire with a max232 (or equiv) ic for fbus / mbus connection to the pc (i made several). since these are the only pins in the 3310 (and from the pics of flash adapters on the links u provided), I am certain.
Anyways I do have a FBUS / MBUS cable for 3310 (guess 1 of its spring is damaged and doubt whether it works now and I cant check as I dont own a 3310 anymore)
We also need a flasher box or whatever else is used for flashing so that we can make a linux flasher.
