Not really, if you go back along the thread, someone (I don't recall who) said that he would bring his laptop along to show something at the meet. I replied to this saying saying that I too would probably get my laptop and mentioned that I was having problems installing debian on it and then I replied to specific queries about what was not working in the install.
Just one thingleading to another, though I guess maybe I should have changed the subject: line. Mea culpa.
