I think it is a good idea to combine a couple of events. However, I
would
suggest an agenda so that people of each respective interest group have
an
idea of what will be discussed.
There is currently discussion ongoing on the MumPy (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/mumpy) and the MumJS (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/mumbaijs) Google Groups about topics. They should be finalised in the next couple of weeks. I will cross-post a summary of that discussion here, once it has been finalized, so that everyone here knows which topics will be covered by them.
In the meantime, we can get our agenda fixed. Please share suggestions on this thread.
My suggestions about activities for the Mumbai LUG meeting and Ubuntu Release Party:
- Showcase the features of Ubuntu 13.10 (desktop, server)
- Showcase your FOSS project (maximum 3 projects can be showcased due
to time constraints) 3. Spotlight: Showcase a GNU/Linux distribution (other than Ubuntu because that will already be covered!)
Dear Rigved,
This sounds interesting. It is possible that by around this time, Fedora 20 beta will be out, so I would be happy to take a session introducing it. We could also follow it up with a session focusing on tips and tricks on how to smoothly transition common actions between various distro's and Desktop Environments. This would be invaluable to people like me who regularly have to work on various distros and support users on them.
Its been many years even since my last ilug-bom talk, so I do hope to get back into the thick of things.....
