[ILUG-BOM] Salary Survey

Folks, I hope you don't mind and advance apologies to anyone I offend. :-P

I want to know how much I should pay a Linux C Programmer with a B.E. from a local Pune college, 1 year experience and some minor specializations such as knowledge of encryption and MPEG, which we need. The question is a practical one, not academic. This is for a position in Pune for a small company (mine). I realize that the salary range varies a lot, sometimes without reason, but if anyone wants to take a stab at it, please do let me know (off-list if you prefer). Oh, and while you are doing that, how about 0 and 2 years experience too.

Yes, we are looking for people with the above qualifications too. :-)
