does the cd play in xmms? is ur sound card properly detected? what sound card do u have??

hi i am using mdk 9.1 with kde while playing audio CDs i face this problem. i put in the CD, and open the CDplayer and hit the play button. the display sows that the CD is playing but i hear no sound. the CD volume is set to high using aumix and if i reboot the same PC to windows n try to play the CD thru winamp, it does play what can be the prob?? regards
