Hi guys, i guess you all must have heard about Nokia 770 its a Linux based
Internet
tablet that can use bluetooth Wi-FI to connect to the net n has a host
of
other feature. And its dedicated for Internet i.e. no phone. For
developers
interested in it, it uses a development platform called maemo(www.maemo.org http://www.maemo.orghttp://www.maemo.org). That is basically GTK+ only but with some modifications to make it
optimum
for the mobile device. SO most of your GTK+ code should work wtht significant changes. CHeck out the maemo site it has a cool developer tutorial.
So would it be possible to have ssh on such a device? any such mobile device with ssh ability would make me one of their first customers for sure.
I am sure it will have that ability because it mentions checking email as one of the features so i guess nowadays SSL is taken for granted.. And i would consider it a pretty sub standard INTERNET tablet if it was to be without ssl.. But one problem they right now only have plans to launch it in some parts of europe and america so.. u cant buy it here for a year atleast...
