We are comfortable with Redhat 9 and still playing around with debian (sarge) and still quite new to OpenBSD. We are ready to takeup any distro headon if it meet our need.
If you are pretty new to Debian or BSD distro then i would recommend you not to deploy them for production server. Infact you can use Fedora Core 1 (as its completely stable now and will easily find thirdparty rpms for tht distro as compared to core 2 and core 3) or you can use SUSE as well if you want things to be very simple. But if your company can spend some extra bucks then probably you can approach Redhat for their RHEL 3 version, they will help you with their expertise on migrating your application as well as give training on tht. Also RHEL 3 is more stable, scalable and reliable as compared to Fedora as the OS is further optimised by RedHat.
