follow the following steps:
select the custom setup option --> when you r prompted to select the packages select everything -->
now to your partitioning problem :
before making the "/" root mount point make sure that ur windows partitions occupy atmost 6 GB of ur harddisk space. delete all other windows partitions.. u can make them again after the linux partitions are made. However do not forget to back up all important data before deleting the partitions.
now add - the "/" root mount point - with around 1000 MB space. then add - the swap partition - with 256MB space. at last add - the "/usr" mount point as linux native - with around 2500 MB space.
now you can split the remaining space into dos partitions of the size u prefer.
u won't have any more problems in the installation process.
