Its there in /etc/make.profile/make.defaults and I have not used -sdl in make.conf. I dont think that will help.

Umm... thats how I generated it in the first place. But this vesa thing looks interesting. I guess I have enough reasons to restart my X, I was trying to avoid doing that just to see how long my KDE3.2beta1 runs before crashing, and in last 5 days not a single app has crashed! Wonder why they are not releasing this amazing piece of work.
