hello, I am going for a big demo of gnu linux on tuesday. I will be demonstrating ubuntu dapper to some retail pharmacies and they expect me to show how do I propose to runn foxpro on the gnu/linux box.
Very short notice. U need their app (or some foxbase clipper app) installed and working natively on dos before testing and then demoing on linux. Especially if u want multiuser and network.
I will like to know how I can setup dosemu to bring up foxpro on dos session in ubuntu.
apt-get install dosemu dosemu-freedos xfonts-dosemu edit /etc/dosemu/dosemu.conf. The file is self expalnatory. edit /etc/freedos/autoexec.bat and /etc/freedos/config.sys to suit your requirements. the lredir command assigns a disk name to a partition. Dont remember the exact syntax. Dont demo printing as the setup gets a bit twisted for dos hardware raw access.
