I have a system with Ubuntu Dapper, firefox, Opera and Evolution email client running. After i activated the Connection properties button I notice that a lot of downloading continues to happen even when the system is idle. the downloading stops only after at least 6 to 8 MBs are downloaded every time I activate MTNL triband.
How do I stop this? Every MB costs One Rupee so its obviously very expensive.
