How can network traffic be scanned for anti-viruses. U need Intrusion detection systems, try snort.
If u want to scan downloaded files with specific extensions like .exe .doc .pdf etc., then u may use viralator, in conjunction with squid and squidgaurd. with any of the anti-virus engines listed for viralator. regards yayati.
