I was at the Debian website and read that the next version of their OS (Sarge) is going to built with gcc 3.2. I use RedHat 7.2 and have wanted to use a distribution built with gcc 3.2 so I could use the much improved C++ compiler without hassles. I also wanted to switch to Debian. So the logical conclusion would be to wait for Sarge to be released. The question is, when can I expect that?
If you really need gcc 3.2, why do you wait for any distro to get it in? Just grab the release and compile/install it! Anyway, Redhat 8.0 already ships with gcc-3.2.
And if you think you want to wait for Debian's next "release" ... man, are you misinformed or what! :-D
Sameer.
