Click on "Compose Mail" located at the top left quadrant of the browser page [1]. Compose your posting, enter mail id of mailing list, review your post and click on the "Send" button.

See above - It is also called hijacking a thread. Most members may tend to to ignore such messages. If OP does not have the time to compose a new message for his/her query why should anyone else give them any time? [1] caveat it requires a little effort to scroll to the top of the page and move your mouse pointer to click on it.
