hi again--
well i dont know what the problem was, but i plugged in the card again to see if it works and all i can say is tht THE FREAKIN CARD WORKS!!! its cool to have wireless LAN access on Linux.
And I dont see why it wouldnt have worked, after all my Linksys card is based on a Prism2 chipset which has been supported by Linux.
