I got to know that there are non-free applications bundled along From whom??
What packages? AFAIK debian is totally free and knoppix is strictly derived from debian.
to find out which packages, do the following
apt-get update apt-get install vrms
then type 'vrms'
You'll get the list.
BTW.. you will have a good laugh reading the man page for vrms. vrms stands for Virtual RMS ;-)
