Hi
I am running Debian 3.1 testing. I am upgrading from a PII machine to a PIV 2.5 ghz , 64 MB Video RAM, Cd writer .
What would I need to do to use my old HDD without a reformat? any things to take care of?
No need to reformat at all. Just plug it on the same ide port as your old system. After that you will have to edit /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 for using the right X11 driver. Then run modconf and select/remove the apropriate modules. Reboot. Which mobo (chipset, make, model no.)?
