Has anyone tried to update the Kernel. I want to try but dont know if the kernels available in >Kernel.org will work on my RH9 system. I want to download and install a new kernel in my >system and don't know how to go about it.
If u use redhat all u have to do is in the command line type up2date. This will download the new kernel for u. This is if u r lazy and dont want to compile it yourself.else http://www.linuxlookup.com/html/guides/kernel.html#3 or http://www.linuxhelp.ca/guides/kernel/ Better still hit google and type (compile kernel how to) Dont forget to add the new kernel in the boot loader
