Hi,
I have Intex-PcTel HSP56 modem with me. Its working perfectly on my Win XP. I recently working on shifting over to Linux. But cannot complete that as my Modem does not work with Fedora Core 2. Please let me know if there are any drivers for the same. If I have to replace my modem which is the best compatible (and cheap!!) modem if I need to work with fedora.

You can check for a driver for your modem at http://www.linmodems.org/ http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/pctel-linux/welcome.html http://start.at/modem
Some of the PC-Tel chips can be made to work with linux. The above links will help you.
Best option is to go for an external modem. However, in case you want to save money and want a cheaper solution you can try Connexant or Motorola SM56. Linux drivers for Connexant chips are available while Motorola had put up RPMs for Red Hat 8, 9, etc. but am not sure if they have released / updated the same for Fedora Core 2.
Hope it helps.
