-> A guy in my office bought an IBM thinkpad that he planned to install
Debian on. When he bought it, he asked for no OS to be installed, and got the laptop at a lower price.
My Compaq Presario 2203AL came with Mandrake in 2004. I bought it from a HP dealer/showroom in Kolkata. However all the higher end models came with Windows. However I did not inquire about the possibility of having them without Windows.
