I have installed debian base systemand then installed the x-windows-system and fluxbox packages online.
The problem is that startx is not present on the system. After running dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86, the xserver starts up but crashes almost immediately.
There are no obviuos errors in /var/log/Xfree.log.
Where should I look for some clues ?
I really would like to get debian working on this machine.
regards,
Sharukh.
I have spent almost the whole of sunday on this andam really at the end of my tether.
