So the story idea goes like: How
important are FOSS certifications when it comes to the job market?
Please let us have your insightful suggestions on the same.
This reminds me of those discussions I had with Kenneth Gonsalves and
Dr Srinivasan at NRCFOSS who were planning[1] to bring up a FOSS
certification and how we all agreed upon the decreasing "value" for RH
certifications because of the rumours/reports saying how it has joined
the mainstream list of certifications and there were disrepancies
involving the exams .
LPI was something which didnt become mainstream for some reason but
its a better exam . There are other certifications but I think its the
ability to solve a problem , ability to learn , interest in tweaking
are the skills which matter and are valued most.
