Dear Luggers,
My printer queue name is 'LX300' and device is a local printer /dev/lp0. What command should I add in the command line for the open office printer setup? I tried lpr, lp -d LX300, lpr -d LX300 but nothing seems to work.
In debian using cups and kprinter / xpp, replace the above with kprinter or xpp. This will run kprinter / xpp. I have tested it with hp710c, hp720c, hp4mp, hp3550 and epson lq1020. xpp is faster and provides much greater flexibility.U will have to install xprt-xprintorg and xpp if not already installed.
Use debian - apt is fabulous and there is no commercial skullduggery to worry about. To be honest though I am cluless about redhat or any other distro for that matter.
