Would be difficult to do that these days, because a lot of stuff is available for "download" as HTTP also. I was clearly told they will be counting all incoming bytes, which makes sense and I don't have a problem with.

WOW - that's pretty bad! The guy I spoke to most of the time was OK, I guess, but the end result is what matters - and that is a no-show.
For what it is worth, I have canceled my service with them. Not worth it if they can't stick to their own terms.
