You reeeally need to do some serious reading. These so called features are individual tastes. If you think that these are features read Philip's mail. Features are those which comply with standards and work universally. In this respect both Libre and closed software have limitations. However Libre software allows you the means to correct any deficiences, closed software actively prevents you from dicovering and publishing such deficiencies.

Some ppl say that Linux is free & so not is windows. But can they tell me what wod they have done if linux & all of its goodies were also not free? They say windows is buggy, even I say. But then everything have some bugs ( even human beings ) Nothing is perfect. We are developer atleast we should understand this.

are you confusing free and libre?. Libre software is buggy but allows U to correct it. Closed software is far more buggy BUT actively prevents u from discovering, correcting or publishing thes bugs.

I/we do some sort of programming & need to test it on different OS But for a general user who is only interested in playing games, surfing web & doing some work in word excel. Why should he swithch to any other OS if he is getting MS for free ( pirated )? There is no reason for that.

Please carefully read the lug mail archives there is lot's of stuff there which will explain in detail the real issues at hand. Do not fool ur self into beliveing that this is abt a button here and a double click there.

Note : This doesn't mean that I'm in favour of Win & opposing Linux I just want to clear a thing that If something is good, let it be good, do not blame it. Rather try to make your system to be good.
