Hi folks,
It is very simple to connect to broadband using Red Hat 9 (RHL9).
Procedure to configure:
red hat menu -> System Tools -> Internet Configuration Menu -> X-DSL Connection -> "Enter Details and follow on-screen instructions"
Procedure to connect:
red hat menu -> System Tools -> Network Device Control -> Select appropriate device and click Activate
to disconnect
red hat menu -> System Tools -> Network Device Control -> Select appropriate device and click Deactivate
U may require root access.
Regards Aditya

Thats right,it is not that u cannot connect pacenet to linux, but they(pacenet)people does not want to provide proper support on that part or dont have proper solution for linux users. Rohit Baisakhiya.

Normally adsl-setup would do the job for you, but I think you have to get in touch in pacenet and tell them to create a linux username for, which will be of the form <username>@linuxuser. Also get the details of the Access Concentrator and the Service Name. These might be needed if you cannot connect. The connection is started using adsl-start and stopped using adsl-stop. Get in touch wih me if you need any mode help.
