hi luggers,
can any of you please tell me which rpm in RHL 7.1 installs the file : libz.so.1
Phillips, if you remember, I had some mouse problem some time back. It dissapeared once i got a new mouse. I tried to investigate but couldn't find why the old mouse had become eccentric.
Don't forget about libz.so.1

The name of the package is zlib .... a standard problem with RHL 7.1 I suppose ...
The best place to search for rpm's is http://rpmfind.net you can search for packages using a thousand different ways and it has repositories for all kinds of rpms - SuSE, Mandrake, Red Hat, etc.
SameerDS.

If you already have it installed, then do rpm -qf /path/to/libz.so.1 If you don't have it installed, then check a package called zlib. Thats the package that contains it normally.

Aaaaarrrgghhh (sorry kishor). It's `Philip', one l, no s.
Your mouse problem is probably because you used the wrong protocol for the old mouse. I do not know.

zlib was corrupt in the PCQLinux 7.1 they have given correct one in the next issue.
