I created new user but stilll not worked.
I enabled ROOT login by editing /etc/kde3/kdm/kdmrc. So i am able to login with ROOT in GUI

/home is mounted as read write? Does the regular user have write perms to the /home directory?
Also, make sure that the /home partition isnt out of space.

So, did you try freeing up some space from your home?

There was KDE-4-Live-opensuse.iso I removed it. 645 MB Freed.
But now when I try to login I get only ``Konsole'' the KDE-application. and nothing else.
I tried starting different GUI apps from `konsole' but failed.
Finally I tried ``FluxBox''.... Worked!
But not KDE :-(

Just curious to know, are you using Etch 'testing' or 'stable'?
