Hi Manoj, Concept Systems conduct Linux Device Driver and Linux Internals course in Pune and I think they have started classes in Bombay too. I remember getting their mail once announcing the same. But I advise you to mail/phone them and ensure.

Also i needed guidance on how should i go about it . Is it necessary C/C++ in depth to learn such Linux subjects .

You HAVE TO know C atleast at the intermediate level to venture into Linux systems Programming. You can make do without C++, but its always better to know it too.

Also you should know basic shell scripting. And as everyine keeps repeating do things on your own as much as possible.

Start visint the umpteen sites on Linux Internals, start browsing the code.. and THEN join a course with basic understanding of OS concepts. It'll much easier and effective for you then.

I myself have been trying to get into the internals for quite some time, but the learning curve is becoming longer for me.

There is so many fascinating things to know, implement and redesign that it takes quite a bit of time to get REALLY well-versed. Have Patience and determination.
