hello! I installed a minimal system on my disk, then i compiled the new 2.4.5 kernel, booted into it - and then installed X. after configuration, i'm unable to start it. The same XF86Config file works fine if i boot into 2.2.14 kernel.I'm attaching the .X.err file for info.

Seems like you have not compiled module /dev/agpgart into the kernel . Run kernel configuration ( make menuconfig or make xconfig (requires x)) and in section character-devices selected /dev/agpgart.

doesnt look like it, /sbin/modprobe agpgart returns happily and cat /proc/modules | grep agpgart shows expected entry...
