I am using 7.2 with XFS. The GNOME login screen does not allow root login. I need to login as any other user and then always "su" to root. Any help on this please.

excuse my errors nd omissions........nd even for askin u not to log in as "ROOT".
It takes pple a long time to realise the folly of loggin in as "root", so let me just warn u in advance...the potential of wreakin havoc is magnimous.....SO generally speakin....avoid disastrous consequences and su to root when u need to sysadmin nythin.....

modify gdm.conf file.
change allow root = no with allow root = yes
