DON'T tell aj about the command line, pipes, fifos, POSIX compliance, the UNIX philosophy, mail/news/web servers, etc. You'll scare him away.
This depends on the aj though. You can definitely interest someone using VSNL and troubled by the email policy about how to run a mail server. But stay away from sendmail.cf. I would suggest postfix or qmail for a demo. Setup two machines, one as a workstation and the other as a server. That will help in attracting the appropriate kind of crowd.
