Since we are still on this topic, Anyone knows how to configure this on other distros, or is it just fedora??
'ifrename' is another option to bind network names to specific HW devices. In SuSE it is packaged with wireless-tools.
$ rpm -qf /usr/sbin/ifrename wireless-tools-28pre4-16.2
