Is it legal to distribute SuSE ISOs for x86?
The Yast tool is not gpld. It is covered by a YaST 2 and SuSE Linux licence.
In brief you can distribute at no charge Yast2 and derived works subject to mentioning the copyright and the term "modified" in the case of derived works.
No commercial distribution of the original or derived works is permitted.
Rumours floated about Novell's plan to gpl Yast. But afaik they have not.
