i dont see any reason for u to apologize. there was no graphically inappropriate description or content that should offend anyone
Pre-emptive courtesy :-) Never the less nice to know you believe that :-)
++1, Whatever it is, whom ever it is, IMHO their public life should not be a matter of discussion, until and unless the same has some effect on the subjects of our concern. Surely, a developer being sent to jail or sentences will affect the project, but the reaction should be rather on how the project is taken further in the future than about the corresponding developer.
Since we are on this topic now, i guess it would be prudent to say that if there is anyone looking for filesystem based projects they could look at contributing towards Reiser4. i know there are other higher priority projects out there, but if anyone is specifically interested they could check out :
http://www.namesys.com/v4/v4.html
Interestingly, Hans was spearheading Reiser4's design and a lot of its implementation alone. There some contribution is coming from ``talented programmers from Russia and Ukraine" but was/is the heart and sole of Reiser4 so far. Even if people have a basic interest in Computer Science, its a nice page to check out. i especially was interested in ``dancing tree structures".
Just my thoughts!
i think i have given mine.

Guys, even if the RFS guy gets a jail term, he can be provided with a computer and internet connection in prison from where he can carry on the RFS project.

Yeah and then instead of thanking him, some idiots will go,"I'm not using ReiserFS anymore because its being written by a murderer. Who knows what it could do to my computer?"
I've actually heard that comment on IRC when the new first came out about him being accused.
