sameer had written about a problem of getting into linux without the boot floopy i had the same problem sameer so i did this:
1.made a folder in c: and put loadlin.exe and vmlinuz into the same folder{loadloin willbe in the folder dosutils in ur CD}{vmlinuz in dosutils/autoboot} 2.made a bat file in c: with the following instructions: cd\ cd lboot loadlin c:\lboot\vmlinuz root=/dev/hda8 3.note: lboot was the folder i made in c: which had loadlin and vmlinuz and hda8 is the part of the hdd where i loaded RH7.1 4.the problem occured because u tried to load linux on cylinders after 1024 (pls try this at ur own risk, it did wrk for me) Namit.
